Sales Manager – Romania (Engineering Plastics / Thermoplastics)

Our client is an international leader in the development and production of engineering thermoplastics and high-performance polymer solutions, serving demanding industries worldwide.

We are looking for an Account Manager based in Romania to manage existing business and develop new opportunities in Romania and Bulgaria, with a strong focus on automotive, electrical & electronics, and household appliances industries.

The ideal candidate is a plastics professional with solid experience in engineering plastics (EP), able to combine commercial skills with technical understanding and build long-term relationships with both injection molders and end customers/OEMs.

Key responsibilities

* Manage and grow the existing customer portfolio in Romania.
* Develop new business opportunities with injection molders, component manufacturers, and industrial end customers.
* Build relationships with customers in the automotive, electrical/electronics, and household appliance sectors.
* Identify customer needs and support material selection with suitable engineering polymer solutions.
* Collaborate with customers on application development, technical requirements, and new projects.
* Develop and maintain a strong network within the Romanian plastics industry.
* Work independently from a home office after initial training at the company headquarters in Italy.
* Regular customer visits across Romania and Bulgaria.

Requirements

* University degree in Engineering, Plastics Technology, Polymer Science, Chemistry, or a related technical field.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in the engineering plastics (EP) market, in one of the following areas:

* Technical sales / Account Management of engineering plastics;
* Technical customer support or application development;
* Product Management within the plastics industry;
* Project Management or technical roles within an injection molding company.

* Strong knowledge of technical thermoplastics and high-performance polymers (non-commodity plastics).
* Proven experience working with injection molding applications is highly appreciated.
* Existing contacts within the plastics industry, including molders and industrial end customers.
* Native Romanian speaker with good written and spoken English.
* Independent, proactive, customer-oriented personality with strong communication skills.
* Willingness to travel frequently.

Location

Locations: Romania, considering the need for regular customer visits in Romania and Bulgaria.
