Jr Scientific Business Development Manager Benelux
Your role
As Jr Business Development Manager, you will take ownership of your territory and be responsible for driving commercial growth across Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. You will identify new business opportunities, develop strategic customer relationships and build a strong sales pipeline while working closely with internal technical and commercial teams.
This is a highly autonomous role where you will have the freedom to shape your territory and directly contribute to the company’s continued expansion.
Your responsibilities
* Develop and execute the commercial strategy for your territory.
* Identify, prospect and convert new business opportunities.
* Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
* Manage the complete sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
* Monitor sales performance, forecasts and pipeline through CRM.
* Analyse market trends, customer needs and competitor activities.
* Collaborate closely with Marketing, R&D, Regulatory Affairs and Operations.
* Manage pricing strategies and protect commercial margins.
* Represent the company at customer visits, industry events and exhibitions.
* Contribute to budget planning and revenue growth objectives.
Your profile
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Bioengineering, Biochemistry, Veterinary Sciences or another scientific or technical discipline.
* Around 2-3 years of successful B2B sales experience, ideally within food diagnostics, food testing, dairy, laboratory or a related scientific industry.
* Strong hunter mentality with proven business development skills.
* Experience managing sales pipelines, forecasts and CRM systems.
* Entrepreneurial, proactive and highly autonomous.
* Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
* Comfortable working in an international and fast-growing environment.
* Native Dutch speaker with a good command of English and/or German. French is considered an advantage.
* Willing to travel at least 50% throughout the Benelux region.
