We aim to lead the markets we serve by requiring the solutions we offer customers provide an improved benefit/risk profile as compared to existing standards of care; a performance threshold that by definition, guides and ensures the productive output of our engineering, business development, and clinical research efforts result in outcomes that advance the standard of care.We are seeking a Demand Planner to develop and manage the final geography demand forecast and allocation of finished goods for the EMEA region within our Structural Heart business unit.WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Ensure efficient supply of product to meet customer and business needs in the fast-paced, rapidly growing medical device industry.
  • Work cross-functionally and cross organizationally to create and manage the final geography demand forecast and allocation of finished goods with staff located within EMEA.
  • Key measures of success include Forecast Accuracy and Bias, Order Line Fill Rate, Working Capital, Scrap/ Obsolescence, New Product Launch.
  • Partners across the organization to ensure the demand plan reflects new product introduction, launches in new geographies, end of life and product transitions.
  • Model field inventory burn down and build up based on launch or end of life assumptions and track to plan to estimate scrap risk or drive change to strategy as needed.
  • Challenges plan vs actual results through tracking of key demand planning metrics like forecast accuracy and bias to improve the demand plan. Challenges launch and commercial strategy assumptions as required to improve demand forecasts.
  • Thinks creatively, gets out of the box and solves problems.
  • Drives and facilitates others’ participation in continuous improvement changes in the demand planning process and developing new tools and methods of analyzing the data.
  • Works with typically complex data and multiple hierarchies to prepare and summarize data to track, report and improve our understanding of the business.
  • Reports on assumptions, risks and opportunities to validate and understand the impact on the consensus demand plan.
  • Ensures decisions and direction from the Demand Review are incorporated into the plan and driven through the system to the Supply Planning Team for execution.
  • Understands and participates in allocation activities and scenario building during periods of constrained supply.
  • Participates in the monthly S&OP process and presents proposal and strategies to peers and senior level management to drive alignment.
  • Responsible for execution of approved plans, managing abnormal demand, and communication with regional marketing on product availability, allocations, and launch/end of life strategy impact to demand and inventory.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of related work experience with demonstrated understanding of demand planning, or equivalent experience.
  • CPIM, CSCP, Greenbelt certification highly desirable.
  • Medical device or other highly regulated industry.
  • SAP APO DP, SAP SNP, SAP ECC highly desirable
  • Leading or participating in S&OP process, especially demand planning.
  • Collecting and analyzing data, drawing conclusions and presenting findings to a broader audience.
  • Progressive responsibility in Supply Chain, Forecasting, Demand Management.
  • The ability to travel as needed (up to 10%) both domestically and internationally.
