Position overview:

As the Training Manager you will report to the Production Manager, and contribute to the success of Ball by coordinating technical and operational trainings in the plant. Training Manager will work with the production manager, shift managers and team leaders to prioritise and plan training for employees based on skills gap and production needs. Support any continuous improvement projects.

Key responsibilities include:

Define and own training plans to ensure that the operations team are fully skilled and preparedfor new lines/major capital projects/process changes.

Lead induction process for new employees, and cooperate with other departments to ensure the effective training of new starters.

Coordinate training of new starters in the plant and other plants if required; this includes cooperation with sisters plant training managers.

Responsible for the identification of training needs and defining skills standards by role in cooperation with production teams and HR.

Organise training based on business needs and to cover skills gaps in cooperation with production teams and HR; create and update the training plan and skills matrix.

Manage lean enterprise training process on-site to provide proper support to the teams in terms of improvement process implementation.

Contribute to capability assessment, technical skills assessment and training KPIs.

Responsible for the management of training reports.

Manage plant operational trainers (select, manage, develop) and organise with EMEA Technical Training Manager suppliers training (i.e., camera, I-Trax, gauges etc.).

Involve in continuous improvement projects.

Experience and skills required:

Training qualification or experience in similar roles

Lean management experience

Process and quality management

Project management skills

Analytical skills, ability to work with KPIs

Fluent in English
