Technician/Senior Technician, histology, temporary positionDo you want to be a part of Lundbeck’s early drug discovery organization and bring the medicines of the future to patients with CNS disorders? Your experience with histology might be just what we need.Your new role

• This is a temporary (12 months) position placing you as an important part of our histology and imaging team, where you will assist in bringing Lundbeck’s early drug discovery projects forward by providing critical data from our histological workflows.
• Your main responsibility will be planning and conducting part of our histological workflows, which currently include sectioning, immunofluorescence labelling, immunohistochemistry, histological stainings, in situ hybridization (RNAscope), and autoradiography.

Your future teamOur department is based at Lundbeck’s R&D headquarters in Valby, Denmark, and is comprised of an international team of 11 members, including scientists, laboratory technicians, and students. We are an established team working in a scientific environment committed to quality pharmacological work. We work in an open and collaborative atmosphere with excellent possibilities to develop technical skills and scientific expertise.Our department has two teams responsible for histology & imaging, and in vivo work in animal models, respectively. Together with the rest of the Neuroscience organization, we represent biological research at Lundbeck and are focused on generating the necessary data and knowledge for advancing our drug discovery projects.You will conduct your work in close collaboration with the other members of the histology & imaging team.The position is based in our headquarters in Valby, Denmark.What you bring to the team

• A Laboratory Technician Education (Laborant uddannelse), Biomedical Laboratory Technology education (Bioanalytiker), or equivalent. N.B. We are not looking for people with MSc or PhD qualifications for this position.
• Hands-on experience with planning and conducting histological experiments in rodent tissue will be a benefit. This could include several of the following skills: immunofluorescence labeling, immunohistochemistry, histological stainings, in situ hybridization (RNAscope), and autoradiography.
• It will be an asset if you have experience working with rodent brains.
