Technical Support Specialist Europe-Industrial Coatings

For one of my clients, a long-established company specialized in the industrial coatings sector, I am looking for a Technical Support Specialist Europe, mainly responsible for the France, Spain, and Balkans areas.

PLEASE NOTE: The selected candidate will be required to complete an initial training period of approximately 6 months in the laboratory in order to acquire technical knowledge of the products.

Main Responsibilities

* Provide pre- and post-sales technical support to international clients.
* Manage technical assistance activities at customer and distributor sites.
* Conduct application tests and product demonstrations for clients.
* Collaborate with the R&D team on product development and improvement.
* Support the sales network during the bidding phase and in developing new accounts.
* Analyze application issues and propose effective technical solutions.
* Draft technical reports and field intervention documentation.
* Monitor market needs within assigned areas and gather customer feedback.

Requirements

* Degree or Technical Diploma in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
* At least 2-3 years of experience in a similar role within the paint, coatings, or industrial chemical sector.
* Solid knowledge of application processes (spraying, dipping, etc.).
* Excellent command of both English and French.
* Proficiency in Spanish is highly appreciated.
* Willingness to travel frequently across Europe.
* Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-oriented mindset.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Basic knowledge of tinting systems.
* Fundamental understanding of colorimetry.
* Basic knowledge of automatic dispensing systems.
* Basic IT literacy (MS Office: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.).

Preferred Skills

* Knowledge of resins, pigments, and coating formulations.
* Experience working with OEM or industrial clients.
* Familiarity with European sector regulations (REACH, CLP/safety standards, quality regulations).

Offer:

* Gross annual salary up to EUR50,000, plus performance-based bonus
* Ongoing on-the-job training, with an initial training period in the laboratory to build in-depth product and technical knowledge
