Technical Sales Engineer – South East Hungary

As a Key Account Specialist at Kennametal, you’ll combine your hands-on machining expertise with customer-facing responsibilities across Southeast Hungary. You’ll be the technical expert who speaks the language of the shop floor, helping manufacturers optimize their cutting tool applications for turning, milling, and drilling operations. Your territory spans South East Budapest, Kecskemet, Bekescsaba, Szeged, Szolnok and Debrecen, where you’ll build lasting relationships with key accounts. You’ll diagnose machining challenges on-site and provide solutions that drive efficiency and precision. This role offers the perfect blend of technical problem-solving and business development in the manufacturing sector.

Tasks:

-Business development:

-Identify and acquire new customers
-Rigorously promote the expansion of existing business relationships
-Identify and develop new sales potential
-Sale of machinery equipment in close cooperation with machine manufacturers
-Consistent offer tracking
-Close cooperation with Engineering, Customer Service
-Determination of the technical parameters and performance data for the quotation
-Conduct price negotiations independently
-Timely preparation of weekly and monthly reports as well as planning and execution of administrative activities
-Increase and ensure customer satisfaction
-Coordination of the operations of our service technicians, also in adjacent sales areas
-Customer care and after-sales support
 

Knowledge:

-Technical training as a technician or master or engineer degree or equivalent
-Several years of experience in machining with CNC machines and modern tool systems (turning, milling, drilling)
-In-depth knowledge of manufacturing strategies and production processes
-Good material knowledge
-Understanding of business contexts
-Outside service experience beneficial
-Secure and convincing appearance in our key accounts
-Good PC knowledge (MS Office, CRM)
-Willingness to travel 100%
-Good command of English or German language
