These transformation programs require strong support from IT to implement new and improved data-driven decision-making, gain better insights in performance, standardize- and simplify processes and supporting systems, and automate & digitalize processes.Trivium Global IT is responsible for all IT being used across Trivium. A new department within Global IT is to primarily focus on providing the required Data & Analytics, Digital, and Automation solutions to support Trivium’s transformation. A key member of the Digital & Data team is the Technical Business Analyst (Tech BA) who connects business needs to technical solutions.The Technical BA understands the processes that drive Trivium Packaging. When you receive a request from the business, you are able to dig deeper in order to identify the hidden need behind that request. But you also know and understand the IT landscape and how data flows through it. This combination of business and technical expertise allows you to define the best possible data solutions for real business needs. You maximize the use and reuse of existing data tools and data flows and understand the impact of implementation choices on performance or on maintenance. The solutions that you specify help the organization to become more data-driven. Your specifications make it crystal clear to the developers what is expected of them, and make it easy to test whether deliverables meet the requirements. You identify and flag opportunities to improve our current data landscape and help shape the data platform of Trivium’s future.On a day to day basis you interact with both business stakeholders and the Data & Digital development teams. You understand the different dynamics of both and easily switch between them. You closely collaborate with the Data and Digital Product Owners, who own the strategy and set the priorities for the data products they own, and with the data architect(s), who set the architectural boundaries for any solution to be developed.Key Responsibilities:

  • Create clear link between the business needs emerging and the potential technical solution required by actively and proactively seeking to understand the business context
  • Maximize the value delivered by the team by effectively translating business needs in solutions and workpackages for the engineers
  • Guide the team to the best possible solutions within the current architecture
  • Maximize re-use of existing data flows throughout the data platform
  • Overseeing the effects multiple developments may have on each other, steering towards globally optimal solutions
  • Provide input for improvements of the existing data model and/or solutions, based on your deep understanding of how the business and IT work
  • Deliver clear specifications to the Developers group that enable them to test the deliverables according to the requirements
  • Detail as much as possible the requirements which may involve sitting down with the developers to discuss at code level what may be needed
  • Actively analyse where there is room for improvement in the existing data landscape and bring up the opportunities that help shape our data platform to become / remain future ready

Education & Training:

  • Graduate degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, MBA, PhD etc)

Experience:

  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience, of which at least 2 as a (data) engineer and at least 2 as a (technical) Business Analyst.

2 yrs experience with data architectures that combine Integration, Data & Analytics capabilities.

  • Experience in the data domain (e.g data platforms, data technology)
  • Experience with agile development, including in scoping and scaling deliverables.
  • Proven capability to work independently and manage multiple, competing demands
  • Strong relationship development with all primary and secondary stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong English verbal and written presentation skills
