Student Assistant: Impact Investment

Are you a university student pursuing a degree in Finance, Business, Economics, International Development, or related fields and are you interested in impact investments in developing countries? Then this is your opportunity to join the World Diabetes Foundation (WDF) as a student assistant, supporting the Diabetes Investment Accelerator (DIA) team.

Your new role

In this role, you will assist in developing and monitoring our impact-first investments. You will support essential tasks, including financial due diligence, impact assessment, stakeholder management and communications, managing data related to impact investments, and conduct research and analysis to support the preparation of investment cases.

Your responsibilities will include:

-Support the development of investment cases including financial due diligence, impact, and risk assessments
-Support data management and analysis related to impact and financial performance
-Contribute to effective stakeholder engagement, including mapping key individuals and organisations, supporting communication efforts, and preparing for meetings
-Assist in preparing presentations and documentation for internal and external stakeholders
-Support the team in administrative tasks related to project management
-Keeping up to date with policy developments and trends in impact investing
-Contribute to communication efforts and social media content creation in close collaboration with the communications team

The Diabetes Investment Accelerator has been developed by WDF to explore, implement and scale innovative financing mechanisms to address the growing burden of diabetes and related non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). The DIA is an impact-first investment vehicle utilising a catalytic capital approach to deploy flexible, patient, and strategic investments to drive measurable social impact and sustainable financial returns.

Your skills & qualifications

We are seeking an analytical, detail-oriented individual with a background in finance, business, and/or global development, eager to work with impact-first investing in a global health context in LMICs.
Good communication skills are vital, as you must collaborate effectively with external partners and WDF staff to gather and process information.

Salary
and Benefits

This position is hourly paid. For this position, the hourly rate is
205,17
DKK
. In addition to the hourly base rate, Student Assistants are entitled to a pension scheme (currently 10% employer contribution and 5% employee contribution).
