Your new role

The Strategic Partnerships Manager is responsible for activating and executing Novo Nordisk Portugal’s obesity partnerships to deliver measurable patient acquisition, referral flows, and volume delivery. The role works hands on with partners across direct to consumer and private channels to build, launch, and optimise digital and non digital pathways that simplify access to obesity care in a consumer led, out of pocket market.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

-Identifying and evaluating strategic partnership opportunities with healthcare stakeholders, patient organizations, payers, and public health institutions
-Activating partnership execution plans to deliver patient flow, referrals, and measurable volume outcomes
-Operationalising partner platforms and patient journeys, ensuring seamless onboarding, content readiness, referral pathways, and performance tracking
-Building HCP and pharmacy enablement within partner ecosystems through digital presence, referral pathways, and targeted training
-Coordinating cross-functional delivery with Marketing, Sales, Medical, Market Access, Legal/Compliance, and Operations to ensure partnership readiness
-Tracking performance through clear KPIs (lead generation, referrals, initiations, volume contribution) and driving continuous improvement
-Managing compliance and risk in partner activation, including due diligence support, monitoring, documentation, and partner training
 

Your new department

You’ll be based with the Portugal affiliate, working within the Marketing department to activate our obesity care strategy. This is a market where partnerships are essential to simplifying access. You’ll work at the intersection of digital innovation and patient care—collaborating with partners and internal stakeholders to remove barriers and create pathways that work.

Your skills & qualifications

We’re looking for a strategic doer who thrives on turning partnerships into performance. You’ll bring:

-Master’s degree preferred in business management, Marketing, Life Sciences, or related fields
-Minimum 5 years’ experience in partnerships or business development, preferably within healthcare, pharmaceutical, or fast-moving consumer industries
-Proven track record activating and operationalising partnerships, managing multiple workstreams simultaneously, and delivering measurable outcomes
-Strong experience mapping and managing digital partnerships, with deep understanding of e-health platforms, pharmacy organisations, and patient journey follow-up
-Fluent Portuguese and English
 

You bring a results-driven mindset with the ability to use data to drive decisions, optimise partnership performance, and evaluate return on investment. Exceptional relationship management and negotiation skills—you know how to secure favourable agreements while maintaining collaborative, trusted partnerships. Cross-functional collaboration skills and the adaptability to respond to changing market conditions with creative problem-solving is required.

-Salary: For this role the Annual Base Salary ranges from  54,620 to 87,390 EUR. The. The placement in the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on how well the skills, competencies, knowledge and relevant experience match the position requirements.
-Incentives: Based on the role’s level and other factors, the salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives.
-Benefits: The eligibility for specific benefits may vary based on the job and location.
