FunctionProject ManagementJob DescriptionThe Role: As a Project Manager in the CAPEX Centre of Excellence, you will oversee projects focused on the enhancement and modernization of production processes. These projects involve technical innovations and quality improvements, driven by internal ideas, best practices from other ADM Centers of Excellence, regulatory changes (SHEQ), and advancements from equipment suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Management:
  • Ensure ADM Safe working practises during design and execution of the project
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, timeline, budget, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to define project requirements and deliverables.
  • Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful completion.
  • Coordinate to ensure that all required documentation for commissioning, training and maintenance as of all necessary official approvals in cooperation with specialist planners (including training material, work instructions, operating instructions, etc. )
  • Project Team Leadership:
  • Coordinator between the contractor firms, third Party engineering, Procurement and process technology engineer.
  • Lead and mentor project team members, fostering a collaborative and productive working environment.
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities, ensuring that team members are fully engaged and meeting project milestones.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status, risks, and issues.
  • Facilitate meetings, presentations as needed.
  • Risk Management:
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices including HAZOP and ADM’s Total process safety guidelines.
  • Performance Monitoring:
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess outcomes and identify lessons learned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification preferred.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in project management, specifically in food/feed industry or related fields.
  • Strong analytical skills, business insight, and a proactive approach to initiating improvement projects.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle stress, demonstrate flexibility, and maintain a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS suite, MS Project,).
  • Proficiency in English knowledge of Dutch is a plus
