Specialist Mentor Job ad (Mental Health)

Responsibilities:

As a specialist mentor you will be required to do the following when working one to one with students:

* Help them to achieve an appropriate balance activities of everyday living and academic related tasks
* Improve organisational skills such as time management
* Assist students in preparing for their deadlines by breaking down tasks into smaller parts for them
* Help to manage anxiety and cope with anxiety and stress caused by study related issues and/or everyday living.
* Help students with reflecting on their own experiences
* Improve students confidence by building on their existing strengths
* Assist in preparing students for new experiences which they may be nervous going into
* Work closely with Randstad ensure any concerns with students are communicated as soon as possible
* Behave in a professional and confidential manner at all times

Requirements:

This is a specialist role so you must have membership of at least one of the following organisations at the level(s) indicated within this link (see page 8 & 9 – specialist mentor MH):
