Job Description

With a digital first mindset this is an exciting opportunity to join the De Beers Jeweller’s Global Ecommerce Team as SEO Executive reporting into the Senior Ecommerce Manager. 

The Search Engine Executive is responsible for the implementation of SEO initiatives for DBJ.com (US/UK) working with the Senior Ecommerce Manager to identify key priorities aligned to the eCommerce strategy and build our organic search presence as part of the client journey and brand discovery. 

  • Day-to-day execution of organic SEO campaigns in partnership with the SEO agency. Inform, brief and support keyword research, content gap recommendations, strategic optimization of existing content, competitor analysis, and site improvements.
  • Partner with the SEO agency and Global e-Commerce Team to review, approve and manage the implementation across content and development teams of SEO optimized content, on-site recommendations (meta, URL structure, linking strategy, site architecture, authority pages).
  • Manage SEO agency reporting to build monthly measurement framework to show organic search performance and evolution, sharing performance and analysis with key stakeholders.
  • Oversee SEO development swim lane in partnership with internal and external development teams to ensure technical optimisations are implemented, reviewed, and measured.
  • Partner with the Senior Ecommerce Manager to build off-site PR strategy working collaboratively with cross functional teams in marketing and PR to build SEO content roadmap.
  • Work with the Performance Manager to build a De Beers Jewellers one search approach that delivers across UK & US market, across strategic objectives and across the consumer search funnel from discovery, consideration, and conversion.
  • Partner with the e-Commerce Content Team to brief and support key SEO initiatives and provide site recommendations that drive rich SEO focused content.
  • Provide support to technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring current & new site features and content.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices across engine algorithms and the competitive landscape

Qualifications

  • 2+ years SEO agency and/or in-house retail experience with relevant degree experience.
  • Experience with Google Search Console, analytics platforms and enterprise level SEO research tools e.g. ScreamingFrog, Brightedge, etc.
  • Fluency in basic SEO concepts such as keyword research, crawlability, page speed, user intent, mobile usability, etc.
  • Understanding of technical SEO concepts such as XML sitemaps, content optimization, structured data, and information architecture
  • Excellent data analysis, able to pivot and interpret data with strong excel skills.
  • Ability to problem solve and balance pro-active approach with clear communication skills to enable alignment.
  • Generates ideas but can apply these and prioritise based on commercial/business strategy.
