Global New Product Planning Senior Manager

Are you a curious, collaborative, and courageous individual who can take a long-term commercial view?
Are you excited by the prospect of shaping the next generation of brain treatments at Lundbeck?
Do you feel at home in inter-disciplinary settings and building bridges between Business Development, R&D, and Marketing?

If so, then this is your opportunity to join our expanding New Product Planning (NPP) team and help patients by bringing medicines to the market that are right for them.

Your new role

In New Product Planning we aim to generate compelling and differentiated value propositions for treatments that improve the lives of people living with brain diseases. In this role you will have the opportunity to:

-Drive the development of Target Product Profiles that maximise the value of pipeline products (internal and external).
-Represent the commercial function in the Global Project Teams (GPTs) for early projects and secure commercial input to inform clinical development programs, and milestones.
-Leverage your external mindset and experience to look for new opportunities and inform the early commercial strategy.
-Contribute in-depth knowledge of the relevant market landscape, unmet needs and ongoing competitive intelligence for the disease(s) area in scope.

Why is this a great opportunity?

As a New Product Planning manager, you will help rebuild Lundbeck’s pipeline and support the strategic reorientation of our business to develop transformative medications for indications in niche neurology and psychiatry treated by specialists, and rare diseases in neurology.

You will have the chance to work alongside dedicate colleagues across the entire value chain (research, clinical, manufacturing, pricing, marketing…) and to be part of very diverse projects and business questions to solve.

Your future team

New Product Planning is a diverse, nimble and multidisciplinary department that
sits within Global Strategic Marketing (GSM). The group reports directly to the Vice President, New Product Planning and it is based in Copenhagen (Lundbeck’s HQ).

The team is now expanding with the creation of this position, and you will join our team of 5 colleagues who take pride in learning from each other, injecting external perspectives and questioning the status quo. Our culture is characterized by open dialogue, collaboration, and though provoking insights.

The department has high visibility across the organization since we work in close collaboration with an array of functions within Commercial, Corporate Business Development, R&D and major affiliates, with the aim to ensure our pipeline is composed of differentiated products.

What you bring to the team

We are looking for a courageous, self-motivated, and curious Senior manager for New Product Planning who:

style=”margin-bottom:8.0px”-
-Has a Graduate degree in medical, pharmaceutical or biological sciences ideally combined with a commercial degree (exceptions with a BA degree could happen).
-7+ years commercial experience in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical field. Other relevant pharma or consulting experience is highly desirable (e.g., market access, business development, pre-launch development, early commercial)
-Ideally has experience in the CNS space – not essential but highly desirable.

How your colleagues would describe you

-Do you take the lead and go the extra mile?
-Are you creative, agile, and comfortable with a high degree of ambiguity?
-Do you enjoy combining business insights and strategic thinking to bridge marketing and science?
-Do you develop and build positive working relationships with a broad range of colleagues?
-Do you apply critical thinking to inform decision making and creativity?

These are just a few examples of personal competencies expected for the role.
