Learning Support Assistant (SEN Specialist School) – Full-Time Contract – £85-£110 Per Day – Fulham, London

• Position: Learning Support Assistant
• Location: SEN Specialist School, Fulham
• Contract: Full-Time, Temp to Perm
• Start Date: ASAP/ January 2025
• Salary: £85-£110 per day (PAYE rate) Depending on experience

WhoFoundWho is seeking several SEN School Teaching Assistants to join a special independent school and life skills centre in Fulham. This is a warm and welcoming environment, catering for students aged 5-16 with severe sensory, physical, and medical needs.About the SEN School:

• Small independent special school with pupils aged 5-16
• Includes a Life Skills Centre to support students’ independence
• Warm and friendly environment with a passionate team
• PMLD school catering for students with:
• Severe sensory impairments (VI, HI, Deafblind)
• Physical and complex medical needs
• Excellent opportunity to work closely with therapists, nurses, and other specialists
• Comprehensive training provided

Your Role as an SEN School Teaching Assistant:

• Matched with a suitable class for the full academic year
• Provide personal care including manual handling (essential)
• Additional desirable skills/experience:
• Hoisting
• PEG feeding
• Tracheostomy care
• Oral suction
• Makaton or British Sign Language (BSL)
• Opportunity for long-term development within the school

About the Successful SEN School Teaching Assistant:

• Experience in a similar setting such as an SEN school, children’s home, residential care, or as a support worker
• Manual handling experience is essential
• Passionate about making a difference and building strong relationships with students
