Carlo Gavazzi impianti is looking for a Project Manager who will plan, execute, finalize and supervise the realization of Our Projects in Italy, for both Home Office and Site, in order to satisfy contractual obligations and with respect to the established targets.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor in respect of the baseline the application of the Project Execution Plan.
  • Ensure attendance for all Company sponsored training courses and or seminars as required
  • Support, if required, the proposal manager in bidding phase in project execution plan definition and guarantee the coherence in order to meet cost, time, quality contractual targets and commercial competitiveness of the initiative.
  • Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Lead the Project Team.
  • Review constantly the projects needs and organize resources in terms of staffing and define responsibility related to the team members task assignment;
  • Manage day-by-day operational aspects of a project and relevant scope in terms of production phase, contractual issue, etc.
  • Promote team members responsibility on the project deliverables prepared before passing to Client.
  • Effectively apply methodology and enforce project standards as per Company guidelines/standard. (HSE, Quality, HR and Project Control).
  • Assure the establishment of the team according to HSE Company (and Clients) requirements and the quality assurance procedures.
  • Minimize exposure and risk on project.
  • Put in place all the actions/ resources to ensure that the project documents produced by the team are complete, up-to-date and stored appropriately, in compliance with Company Procedure and according to Company Standards.
  • Prepare the Team communication project plan to ensure optimal communication flow.
  • Prepare and analyze the reporting on project activities status in cooperation with Project Director (if present) versus shareholders and Top Management.
  • Prepare and analyze the close out report in according to the Project Control Standard.
  • Ensure and control the project targets in terms of times and costs, in compliance with Company Procedure and according to Project Control Standards and Tools, putting in place all the recovery actions to pursue the established targets and guarantee time schedule milestones and economic margin.
  • Supervise and controlling engineering, procurement and construction activities.
  • Assure his presence in site, when necessary, in strict coordination with the Site Manager.
  • Prepare and manage contractual issues versus third parties (Client/Contractor), under guidance of Project Director (if present) and Company Organization guidelines.
  • Proactively evaluate changes and deviations during all project phases, and further verify the benefits of the action planned.
  • Prepare and manage a formal closeout project process, giving coordinated feedback to Company organization with particular care to the operations aspects.
  • Encourage all Team members to focus on forecasting project activities and impact.
  • Implement the health welfare and safety of all construction personnel including subcontractors working on the sites
  • Monitor progress of works along the various project phases, identify possible issues, decide about corrective actions monitoring the realization.
  • Motivate the Project Team towards the determined objectives.
  • Represent the Company (if necessary and in accordance with the project organization), along with the Project Director, in front of the Client, Licensors and Partners, managing relevant contractual aspects and negotiating the potential Change Orders.
  • Participate to the negotiation with key suppliers/subcontractors, when necessary, in cooperation with procurement/subcontracting department.
  • Engineering Degree.
  • Previous experience of 3-4 years in the role of Project Control Manager or Deputy Project Manager.
  • Consolidate knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management and accurate competences of project management techniques and tools (i.e. project planning and control, risk management, contract management, etc.).
  • Good communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, planning and organizing ability, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, leadership qualities and efficient team management skills, adaptability and stress tolerance.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Available to travel.

Place of work: Assago (MI) and Construction Sites.
