The roleJunior Accountant AP is responsible for processing invoices and expense claims in a timely and high-quality manner as defined by Service Level Agreements and Customer expectations, responds to assigned enquires, resolves open items with vendors and collaborates closely with the Finance team.MAIN DUITES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Book all vendor invoices and expense claims and ask the necessary approvals in accordance with authorization and approval policies. Follow up on invoices not approved
• You collect the receipts in order to book the Visa statements
• Plan the work in line with the different deadlines
• Follow up on supplier reminders
• Follow up and clean all open items suppliers
• Analyse the aging of suppliers and take action to pay the invoices in time
• Write and maintain process documentation
• Perform all activities in line with agreed SLAs and KPIs
• Seeking opportunities for process improvements and applying improvements. Assisting with other ad-hoc tasks assigned by the Head of Finance
• Supporting colleagues on daily tasks and their own development
• Communicating with Shared Service Centre on accounts payable issues, e.g. setting up suppliers in the system
• Ensuring all relevant firm’s standards and guidelines are met

ABOUT YOU
Essential skills and experience:

• You have 3-4 years’ experience in Accounting (AP) in an international or/and fast paced environment
• You have a solid knowledge of VAT in Belgium
• You have an excellent knowledge of Excel
• You have good communication skills, both written and verbal, and are fluent in English (mandatory), French or Dutch
• You are hands-on, hard-working, and motivated
• You are a fast learner
• You have good time management skills and a high level of accuracy
• You are methodical, have a mature disposition and are stress resistant
• You are a pro-active team player who can work independently and take ownership as necessary
• You are highly organised and detail orientated

Desirable skills and experience:

• Experience in SAP
• Experience in a professional services firm
