Junior Material Scientist / Chemist – Self-Healing Materials R&D

Join an innovative Brussels deep-tech startup developing next-generation self-healing polymer technology for puncture-proof car and bike tires.

We are looking for a hands-on Junior Material Scientist / Chemist to help scale advanced materials from lab innovation to industrial application.

Your role

* Develop and optimize polymer formulations
* Perform material testing and characterization
* Evaluate puncture resistance, durability and healing performance
* Support scale-up toward pilot and industrial production
* Collaborate with scientists, engineers and commercial teams

Your profile

* Bachelor’s or Master’s in Chemistry, Materials Science, Polymer Science or Chemical Engineering
* 0-8 years of experience
* Internship/thesis in polymers or soft materials is a plus
* Curious, structured and eager to learn
* Fluent in English (Dutch/French is a plus)
