Head of Regulatory (Food)

Full Time (37.5 Hours)

Up to A£80,000 DOE + 25 Days Holiday + Enhanced Company Pension + Employee Assistant Programme

Remote Working (With Requirements to Attend Industry Events, Client Meetings and Visit London Office When Required)

Head of Regulatory required for a Global Regulatory Compliance Consultancy business covering over 80 International markets. This is a great opportunity to work for a highly reputable company and play a pivotal role in developing relationships with global blue-chip companies in the food industry.

The successful candidate will have experience working within a regulatory affairs role and will need a degree (or equivalent) in food science, food law, regulatory affairs or similar. You will have in depth knowledge of food law acquired in a commercial, enforcement or policy setting environment along with a deep understanding of food regulations and of Codex Alimentarius, FAO, WHO, and WTO provisions.

The Head of Regulatory will be responsible for the development and the implementation of the regulatory compliance management strategy in line with company goals and objectives.

The Head of Regulatory Role:

A· Accountable for developing and implementing the company’s regulatory management strategy in line with business goals and objectives.
A· Leading and developing the business plan for Horizon Scanning Management and identifying changes in legislation and guidance for key countries as well as establishing training and implementation plans for the business.
A· Responsible for Knowledge Management and Knowledge Sharing Plans.
A· Responsible for leading, from a regulatory perspective, the development of the company as thought leaders in the industry.
A· Monitor changes in industry best practice and application, to ensure appropriate standards are set for technical and regulatory teams.
A· Representing the company at relevant industry events, including participation at ‘top table’ discussions and industry presentation opportunities on regulatory affairs.
A· Provide Leadership in discussions with our clients on regulatory issues or queries to support them in driving their regulatory agenda.

The Head of Regulatory Candidate:

A· Experience in a senior level regulatory or compliance role in a food manufacturing, retailer or compliance consultancy business that operates in multiple markets.
A· Will have in-depth knowledge of global food legislation. Deep understanding of international regulations and its application in markets is a must.
A· Will have experience with multiple food categories. Additional experience with non-food would be advantageous.
A· Hold a degree (or equivalent) in food science, food law, regulatory affairs, or similar.
