Job Description:

Naturecan Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Finance to oversee financial operations across its 15 global entities. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in finance management within the ecommerce sector, coupled with a strong understanding of the health, wellness, and pharmaceutical industries.

Responsibilities:

Financial Strategy and Planning:

• Work with Directors to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with Naturecan’s overall business objectives, ensuring long-term sustainability and growth.

• Drive the FP&A function, providing accurate and insightful financial analysis to support decision-making processes at both strategic and operational levels.

• Oversee and enforce the budgeting and forecasting process for all global entities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

• Provide financial guidance to senior management and stakeholders to support decision-making processes.

• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal policies, providing clear insights into financial performance to key stakeholders.

• Identify and assess financial risks across the organization, implementing robust risk management strategies to safeguard the company’s financial assets and reputation.

• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards, maintaining strong internal controls and governance frameworks across all global entities.

• Monitor financial operations related to ecommerce activities, including sales forecasting, pricing strategies, and inventory management.

• Analyse ecommerce performance metrics and KPIs to optimize profitability and efficiency.

• Identify and assess financial risks across the organization, implementing robust risk management strategies to safeguard the company’s financial assets and reputation

Ecommerce Financial Management:

Financial Reporting and Compliance:

• Prepare and present accurate financial reports, statements, and forecasts to senior management, investors, and board of directors.

• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and company policies.

• Manage internal and external audits, tax filings, and regulatory requirements.

Risk Management and Control:

• Identify financial risks and opportunities and develop strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.

• Implement robust internal controls and procedures to safeguard and maintain financial integrity.

• Monitor and assess market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes impacting the financial landscape.

Team Leadership and Development:

• Provide leadership to the finance team, providing mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities.

• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the finance department.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, investors, auditors, and regulatory authorities.

Ideal Candidate:

• Proven experience in financial management or similar role.

• ACA / CIMA / ACCA Qualified Accountant.

• Demonstrated expertise in ecommerce financial management.

• Experience dealing with group accounts and subsidiaries.

• Strong understanding of financial planning, analysis, and reporting principles.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and drive results amidst ambiguity and change.

• Experience in the CBD, Wellness, Medicinal Cannabis, or pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
