As a global organization, we have many sites located across the world. The Financial Planning & Analysis Intern will be based at our Microbiology Divisional headquarters at our Basingstoke site in the UK.

Working within Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Specialty Diagnostic Group (SDG), within the Microbiology Division (MBD), this is a fantastic opportunity for an Under Graduate Intern.
Our Finance Internship is a 12-month program crafted for rising finance and/or accounting Under Graduates, working with our Global Industrial & Clinical verticals incorporating both Marketing and R&D functions and project teams.
A Day in the Life
Our intern projects are designed to give you real-world finance and accounting experiences and project responsibility in a large organization. In addition to working within a team, you will receive additional opportunities to experience our culture with exposure to finance leaders, as well as other leaders in the organization. Interns will be asked to present an end of assignment presentation to their team of colleagues at the end of their internship.

Education
Full time student completing bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting between December 2024 and June 2025
Experience Related
Work or internship experience helpful
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Strong desire and motivation to develop a career as a future leader in the finance function
Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Results oriented through initiative, ownership, and accountability
The ability to handle multiple assignments, has good judgement and prioritizes projects and time effectively
Is curious to understand business performance with an analytical mind and is focused in approach to quality, attention to detail and is passionate about delivery
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills
