About usThe UCL Division of Psychology and Language Sciences is the largest such department in the country with over 120 academic staff and 2000 students studying at undergraduate and postgraduate level making it UCL’s largest teaching department. It has a large research portfolio and is part of the Faculty of Brain Sciences.About the roleThis role will specialise in administering the Research and Financial activities of the designated Research Departments within the Division of Psychology & Language Sciences. They will provide financial support for research applications and be responsible for monitoring a portfolio of research grants. The post holder will ensure effective procedures are adopted for dealing with all aspects including processing financial transactions, procurement, and grant applications. The post will lead in achieving a high quality and timely service to staff, students, and others internal and external to the department.About youApplicants should be educated to A Level (Minimum of 2 at grade C or above), or equivalent, or having acquired relevant skills in Finance or Accountancy. Have a high level of numeracy, with the ability to understand and interpret figures and statistics, and undertake standard calculations such as VAT. Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other electronic finance systems (preferably Oracle).Experience of UCL systems would be an advantage.What we offerAs well as the exciting opportunities this role presents, we also offer some great benefits some of which are below:
