Exports Logistics Executive – Freight Forwarding

Location: South Essex

Salary: Competitive (DOE)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00

Red Recruit Global is working with a well-established freight forwarding organisation to recruit an experienced Exports Logistics Executive to join their busy and growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with export operations experience across air and sea freight to join a highly reputable business with a strong presence in the UK logistics market.

About the Role

You will be responsible for managing export shipments from start to finish, ensuring all documentation, customs requirements, and deadlines are met. This is a fast-paced, detail-driven role requiring strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

* Coordinate export shipments via air and sea freight
* Arrange bookings with shipping lines and carriers
* Organise collections and ensure deadlines are met
* Complete export documentation, including Certificates of Origin
* Handle customs entries and declarations
* Liaise with customers, hauliers, warehouses, and overseas agents
* Prepare and send pre-alerts to international partners
* Monitor shipments to ensure vessels/flights are met
* Complete invoicing and post-shipment follow-ups

About You

* Minimum 2 years’ experience in export freight forwarding (air and sea)
* Strong knowledge of export documentation and customs procedures
* Experience using systems such as CNS, Destin8, or similar
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
* Strong communication skills and a professional approach
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* A team player with a proactive attitude
