Salary: EUR35,000 – EUR45,000
Location: Galway, Ireland

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Ecologist to join a leading multidisciplinary planning and environmental consultancy with a large, established ecology team delivering projects nationwide. The company works across renewable energy, infrastructure, transport, water, forestry, conservation and private sector developments.

As an Ecologist, you will support the delivery of a varied project portfolio, undertaking ecological field surveys, desk studies and impact assessments. The Ecologist will also contribute to ecological reporting, Habitats Directive Assessments, Biodiversity chapters and client engagement, with opportunities to work alongside experienced professionals across the wider business.

To be considered for the Ecologist role, you should have:

* A relevant degree in Ecology, Environmental Science or a related discipline
* Previous ecological consultancy experience, ideally 2-5 years
* Strong ecological field skills and knowledge
* Experience with ecological assessments and technical report writing
* Good understanding of environmental legislation and assessment processes
* Excellent organisation and attention to detail
* Full driving licence
* Full right to work in Ireland
* Living in or within a commutable distance of Galway, Ireland
