Your new role

As Data Privacy Consultant, you’ll join us on a fixed-term maternity cover position until the 31st of December 2026, supporting our Global People Compliance team. Your work will span all Novo Nordisk entities globally, focusing on employee personal data processing under GDPR and other relevant data privacy regulations.

Your responsibilities will include supporting:

-P&O in designing and reviewing central and global P&O processes and IT systems, ensuring necessary data privacy requirements are implemented in line with GDPR and other relevant regulations
-Global data privacy compliance across P&O processes, including assisting areas with risk assessments, transfer impact assessments, and managing data processing agreements
-The end-to-end management of P&O data breaches by reporting incidents, assessing risk levels, coordinating internally, and implementing preventive actions
-The development and maintenance of policies, guidelines, and frameworks that keep our data privacy standards current and effective.
-Colleagues with varying levels of data privacy experience across the organisation by providing clear, practical legal guidance

Within People, Organisation & Corporate Affairs, the Global People Compliance team is dedicated to upholding strong standards of data privacy for Novo Nordisk employees’ personal data. We play an essential role in managing the life cycle of our global workforce by overseeing processing of personal data within global P&O processes, ensuring business needs are met while making personal data easy to understand and manage for colleagues. We truly value each other and work together to create a positive and inclusive team environment. We enjoy sharing knowledge, collaborating on projects, and encouraging curiosity as we provide accurate legal guidance.

Your skills & qualifications

We’re looking for a proactive, problem-solving data privacy professional with a positive can-do attitude and a sense of humour. You thrive in a team environment and enjoy making complex legal matters accessible. Furthermore, you have:

-A master’s degree, ideally in law or a related field
-Post-graduate legal experience working with data privacy, specifically GDPR
-Experience implementing data privacy standards in business processes and IT systems
-Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
-Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain legal points clearly to colleagues with varying levels of experience
-Professional proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
