An established environmental and planning consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Ecologist to support its expanding workload in Galway. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Ecologist to join a highly respected organisation delivering a diverse range of environmental and infrastructure projects across Ireland.

The company offers specialist expertise across ecology, environmental assessment, and planning, contributing to projects in sectors such as renewable energy, transport, and conservation. With a large and experienced ecology team, they provide comprehensive survey work and strategic environmental advice across a variety of habitats, including terrestrial and aquatic systems.

The Role
As a Senior Ecologist, you will oversee ecological inputs across multiple projects, ensuring delivery from early planning through to completion. The Senior Ecologist will manage surveys, produce technical reports, and contribute to key assessments such as EcIA and Appropriate Assessment. The Senior Ecologist will also provide guidance to junior team members and act as a key point of contact for clients and stakeholders.

Requirements

* Demonstrable experience operating at Senior Ecologist level
* Strong knowledge of ecological survey techniques and relevant legislation
* Full UK driving licence
* Full right to work in the UK
* Based in or within commuting distance of Galway
