Bar Manager

The Bar Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of the bar at our exclusive member club. They are tasked with maintaining exceptional service standards, managing inventory, ensuring compliance with all regulations, and fostering a positive and engaging atmosphere for members and guests.Main Activities and Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with policies & standard procedures.
Supervise and manage all bar staff, including bartenders and waitstaff, ensuring proper training and performance.
Conduct daily meetings and/or briefings before each service/shift.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, as well as liquor licensing laws.
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing member inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally.
Monitor sales and profit margins and adjust procedures accordingly.
Oversee inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stock control to minimize waste and optimize profitability.
Create schedules for staff to ensure proper coverage at all times.
Supervise daily operations, including opening and closing procedures.
Monitor financial performance, analyze sales data, and implement strategies to increase revenue and profitability.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including equipment maintenance and repairs.
Develop and maintain high-quality beverage menus tailored to the preferences of the club’s members.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, communication, and professional development among staff.
Plan and execute special events, promotions, and tastings to enhance the club’s reputation and attract new members.
Conduct regular walkthroughs to verify maintenance compliance with club standards.
Provide feedback to the staff weekly (or every day).
Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and best practices to continuously improve the bar’s offerings and service standards.
Manage other activities relating to or resulting from what is indicated in the previous points.Key Competencies:Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Proven experience (5+ years) in a supervisory or managerial role in a high-end bar or restaurant setting.
Strong knowledge of alcoholic beverages, cocktail mixology, and wine service.
Familiarity with POS systems, inventory management software, and Microsoft Office suite.
Knowledge of one or more foreign languages (min. Italian and English)General Knowledge and Technical Skills:
Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
Strong business acumen and financial management skills.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with members, guests, and staff.
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and service.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
