Geography Teacher Full-Time, Long-Term Position
Location: Borehamwood, Hertfordshire
Salary: £34,398 £46,839 per annum (dependent on experience)
Start Date: September 2026

We are working in partnership with a well-established secondary school in Borehamwood to recruit a passionate and dedicated Geography Teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis from September 2026.

The school is recognised for its strong academic performance, inclusive ethos, and commitment to delivering engaging and high-quality education. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who is enthusiastic about geography and keen to inspire students to understand the world around them.
Key Responsibilities
. Deliver engaging and high-quality Geography lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students
. Plan and teach lessons that develop students understanding of physical and human geography
. Encourage critical thinking around global issues such as climate change, sustainability, and population
. Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment
. Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback
. Support students in GCSE preparation, coursework, and revision strategies
. Contribute to curriculum development and collaborate with the Humanities department
. Encourage participation in enrichment activities such as fieldwork and geography clubs
Ideal Candidate
. Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (preferred but not essential)
. Experience teaching Geography at secondary level
. Strong subject knowledge across physical and human geography
. Passionate about inspiring students and promoting global awareness
. Excellent classroom management and communication skills
. A creative and engaging teaching style
. Holds (or is willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
