Your role

-Assess customer needs, update support plans, and signpost to education, training, and employment
-Support customers with daily living tasks such as cooking and cleaning
-Offer advice to help customers meet tenancy conditions
-Assist with managing finances and welfare benefits
-Promote social inclusion and help build confidence and resilience
-Ensure safeguarding responsibilities are met

(This role is sometimes also referred to as Support Worker, Support Assistant, or Independent Living Assistant).

Your skills

-Experience working with vulnerable people
-Positive approach to supporting young people with varied needs
-Strong interpersonal and customer care skills
-Effective communication and ability to work on your own initiative
-Knowledge of support planning, key working, risk assessment, and safeguarding
-Proficient technology/IT skills (Microsoft Office and similar)
-NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, or willingness to work towards it
