The position
You have an unparalleled opportunity to join us at the start a new manufacturing site in Kalundborg, Denmark. As an Automation Engineer in Purification Plant V (PPV) in this stage, you will support primary operation, as well as be part of the project activities, for production lines not yet released.
PPV Automation team currently supports DCS, PLC and MES in API production, respectively with using 800xA system from ABB, the latest PLC technology from Siemens and PAS-X.
Our day-to-day job is governed by cLEAN principles and troubleshooting using systematic problem solving (SPS), reviewing documentation and helping the organization mature by learn about the processes and workflows. You will work closely with our production area, external partners, and with the different teams across our entire organization. Furthermore, you will help ensure that the selected system that you are focused at is integrated with other systems, instruments, process and fully in compliance to GMP requirements, continuously and systematically improving.
PPV is a major project for enabling Novo Nordisk supply needed insulin and other vital medicines to our patients, which means a long-term investment on our people as well as in the facility.
You will be located onsite in Kalundborg. Travelling could be expected on spot basis (few days a year) and we support 24/7, following a schedule distributed within the team for needed support outside normal working hours.
Qualifications
We are looking for a curious and proactive new colleague, a person who can contribute to the team both professionally and personally. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in most of the following skills and experiences:

-You hold a M.Sc., B.Sc., or technician degree within Engineering, IT or have extensive relevant experience on a similar role
-You have at least three years of experience with PAS-X or a similar MES software in GMP environment.
-Good “investigation skills”, being able to understand problems from users however they come, its impact, and translate it and actionable initiatives
-Great communication skills, being able to share “crisp and clear” statuses, adopted to different audiences, escalating and driving actions timely.
-Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and GMP requirements

xperience within the Pharma industry or other highly regulated industry (GMP) preferred.
-English fluency is a must since our team is international. Fluency in Danish is not mandatory but is the preferred language in production. If you don’t have it, you should at least have the willingness to learn.
