To learn more about our purpose, culture and priorities, visit our .Within our Consult business we harness our unique combination of leading-edge practical expertise and project delivery consultancy to unlock the potential in every project.The project & responsibilitiesManaging a team of SPMs, PMs and APMs to deliver TA services across a cluster of circa. 8 – 12 projects

  • Across feasibility, procurement, construction and defects stages
  • Circa. £1m annual fee income
  • Circa. £250m capital value
  • Point of escalation internally and externally to the Department for Education (DfE)
  • Key DfE relationships; Technical & Cost Advisors, Project Directors, Regional Heads
  • Internally to Mace discipline leads; design, cost, HS&W, IM and sustainability. Commission and Sector Lead
  • Direct and assist Mace team and internal reports with Mace and DfE processes.
  • Coordinate effective resourcing of projects with internal Mace discipline leads.
  • Recruitment of new team members, mentors and develops the project team
  • Managing DfE service / process changes – change management – with Mace TA team
  • Along with other Mace Associate Directors in sector, drive Mace process improvement – external and internal – margin increases and quality of service
  • Accountable for quality of service provision across cluster of commissions – maintain a KPI of at least 8 (scoring by DfE)
  • Accountable for internal quality performance (ISO 9001) of projects in cluster
  • Engage system
  • Accountable for commercial performance of projects in cluster
  • Strong commercial and financial skills and an ability to build up fee proposals and oversee project workbooks
  • Including invoicing and debt
  • Project forecasting and commercial performance
  • Knowledge of Oracle system
