Calling all Assistant Quantity Surveyors

Your new company are a:

National building contractor who has been targeting work on the South Coast and has a strong pipeline until 2025. They are in the process of growing a regional team to meet the demands of the projects. They specialise in residential led mixed use schemes either in the social housing, student accommodation or private rental markets. Typical projects around GBP5m – GBP20m in value.

Your new role:

Will be site based working closely with an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor. It will see you take the next step in your career working on projects ranging in values to GBP20m. This is a great opportunity to prepare yourself for a Quantity Surveying position with great room for development and guidance from a team of highly skilled and knowledgeable professionals.

You will:

* Be able to assist in the preparation and submission of monthly valuations.
* Assist with Cost Value Report (CVR) utilising the Estimators tender summary.
* Assist in updating the CVR monthly and communicate figures to the Managing Surveyor.
* Advise internally on cash flow forecasts as necessary.
* Work closely, whilst shadowing, to agree contract programmes with the Project Manager and Managing Surveyor and monitor progress commercially
* Assist and resolve any client-related issues or disputes.
* Review sub-contractor and Major Suppliers Commercial performance on completion of contracts, giving feedback where appropriate.

You will receive:

* A basic salary of circa GBP40,000.00 DOE.
