Student Assistant, Corporate Communication & Public Affairs

Are you interested in communication, public affairs and how a global life science company engages with media, employees, policymakers and society? You could be our next Student Assistant in Corporate Communication & Public Affairs at Lundbeck.

Your new role

As our new Student Assistant, you will support colleagues across Corporate Communication & Public Affairs with a broad mix of practical, creative and coordinating tasks.

The role gives you hands-on experience with both communications and public affairs in a global company. Some tasks will be recurring, while others will depend on current priorities, campaigns, events and policy developments. We also want there to be room for you to take ownership and shape parts of the role based on your interests and strengths.

Your tasks may include:

-Supporting internal and external communication activities, including content, campaigns, events and social media
-Helping prepare communication materials, presentations and reporting across different channels
-Supporting Public Affairs projects, including stakeholder activities, policy-related work and preparation of briefing materials
-Assisting with PA processes and governance, such as contracts, and compliance requirements
-Supporting meetings, events and team activities across Corporate Communication & Public Affairs
-Contributing to ad hoc projects and assignments depending on current priorities across the department

The role will give you exposure to both the practical and strategic sides of Corporate Communication & Public Affairs, and there will be room to take on more responsibility over time depending on your interests and strengths.

Your future team

You will join Corporate Communication & Public Affairs, based at Lundbeck’s headquarters in Copenhagen.

We work across communication and public affairs to support Lundbeck’s business and strengthen our engagement with employees, external stakeholders and society. You will work with colleagues with different areas of expertise and be exposed to both day-to-day communication activities and broader strategic priorities.

We value collaboration, curiosity and a willingness to help each other. As a student in the team, you will be given responsibility, while also having colleagues around you to spar with and learn from.

The position is based in Copenhagen, Denmark.

What you bring to the team

We are looking for a student who is curious, reliable and enjoys working across different types of tasks.

You may be studying communication, political science, international relations, public policy, business, social sciences or another relevant field. Your exact study background is less important than your interest in communication, public affairs and working in an international environment.

We imagine that you:

-Are enrolled at a university or other higher education institution and have at least a couple of years left of your studies
-Communicate clearly in English and are comfortable working with PowerPoint and other standard Microsoft Office tools
-Are structured and able to keep track of both small practical tasks and larger assignments
-Are proactive, collaborative and comfortable asking questions when you need input

Experience with social media, content production, PowerPoint, data or communications tools can be useful, but we do not expect you to know everything from the start.
