University of CopenhagenCRISPR-Cas systems are antiviral immune systems in bacteria and archaea. While some of the bacterial systems such as type II (Cas9) and type V (Cas12) have been successfully applied in genome editing, archaeal CRISPR-Cas remain to be explored. This two-year position is funded by a DFF grant aiming for exploring novel genome editing tools from archaeal genomes. The candidate is expected to possess profound knowledge in CRISPR-Cas, to be highly skilled in biochemical assays and to have excellent research record.The assistant professor’s duties will primarily include research, including obligations with regard to publication/scientific communication and research-based teaching with associated examination obligations within CRISPR genome editing. To a limited extent this may also include performance of other duties.Further information on the Department is linked at .
