The requirements for the candidate (description of the exact knowledge, qualifications, competencies and professional experience):– University degree and professional title of Doctor of Philosophy in the field of technical sciences: civil engineering,– proven scientific achievements in the field of reinforced concrete structures and shape memory alloy reinforcement structures in the form of at least 1 publication in international scientific journals (from the Web of Science database) or worldwide publications,– participation in national and international scientific conferences (1 paper from national conferences, 2 papers from international conferences)– minimum 4 semesters of teaching practice in the field of reinforced concrete structures– knowledge of software: Robot Structural Analysis, Civil 3 D, Atena2. Description of the profile of the unit announcing the competition:Scientific and research activityThe scientific activity includes a number of doctoral theses, postdoctoral theses, research projects carried out as part of development projects, which include:1. research on reinforced concrete elements strengthened with the use of materialscarbon fibre composite materials;2. research on slab-to-column structural elements;3. testing of reinforced short cantilevers;4. testing of prestressed beams and slabs;5. testing of concrete elements using composite reinforcement.Tests for the civil engineering industry are mainly:– strength testing of concrete and steel;– tests on the physical characteristics of construction materials and products;– testing of prefabricated concrete elements diagnostics of structural elements;– “in situ” testing including non-destructive testing.The KBB laboratory has PCA accreditation confirmed in 2023 by certificate no. AB 536.Research carried out in KBB will be disseminated in the Łódź Metropolitan Area as part of the Łódź Region Development Strategy 2030. The scope of research and scientific activity in question is part of the Regional Specialisations, which was confirmed by the inclusion of this project in the Territorial Contract for the Łódź Province. To the greatest extent it fits into the specialisations: Advanced Building Materials. The Łódź University of Technology has undertaken a project called Interdisciplinary Research and Development Centre for Advanced Materials and Intelligent Management Systems in Construction 2020+ at PŁ, aimed at increasing the competitiveness of the Łódź Province’s economy in the domestic and global markets through modernisation and technological progress in the broadly defined construction industry.9.
