Offer DescriptionThe candidate should speak Portuguese at least at the C1 level and be a native speaker of Polish. He/she must have at least a doctoral degree in the discipline of Literature and a master’s degree in Portuguese or Iberian Philology. Research experience and publications on African literatures in Portuguese, particularly Angolan and Mozambican literatures, are required. In addition, the candidate should have proven teaching experience in teaching African literatures of Portuguese-speaking countries at the university level and in conducting undergraduate and graduate theses related to this subject. Documented organizational activities, such as organizing academic and cultural events related to African literatures in Portuguese, as well as experience in managing teams in a higher education context will be welcome.Where to apply E-mailfilolog@uj.edu.plRequirementsResearch Field Literature Education Level PhD or equivalentSkills/QualificationsThe competitive selection process is open for all individuals, who meet the requirements set out in Articles 113 and 116.2.3) of the Act of 20 July 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science, and who meet the following eligibility criteria according to § 165 of the Statute of the Jagiellonian University:

• holding at least a doctoral degree;
• having relevant scientific achievements;
• taking active part in scientific life;
• having experience in teaching work.
