ALN Support Assistant – September 2026 Start
Are you an experienced ALN Support Assistant looking for a rewarding long-term opportunity in Cardiff from September 2026?

We are a specialist education recruitment agency currently seeking a dedicated ALN Support Assistant to join a specialist resource base (SRB) within a mainstream Primary School in Cardiff. This is a 5 day a week position starting on 1st September 2026.

This role would suit a skilled Teaching Assistant who thrives in an inclusive environment, is passionate about supporting pupil development, and is looking for a stable, long-term position within a supportive school community in Cardiff.

As an ALN Support Assistant, you will:

Provide tailored support to pupils with additional learning needs within an SRB setting Help create an engaging, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment Work collaboratively with teachers, ALNCOs, and wider support staff Promote independence, confidence, and positive outcomes for learners Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and their families

What We’re Looking For

Strong experience working as a Teaching Assistant or ALN Support Assistant A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach Excellent communication and relationship-building skills A genuine passion for supporting children with additional learning needs Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
