We are seeking an Actuarial Analyst to join our client’s team, which is dedicated to providing innovative solutions in the Life and Health insurance sector. In this role, you will be responsible for executing actuarial projection processes and developing models to support financial operations and strategic decision-making. Collaborating with various teams, you will ensure accurate financial insights and compliance with industry standards.   • Manage and guide junior employees in executing actuarial projection processes for IFRS 17 and Solvency II in Prophet for selected Life and Health insurance companies
  • Prepare and develop actuarial models tailored to business needs
  • Conduct stochastic and deterministic projections for annual and quarterly financial statements, forecasts, planning, and sensitivity analyses
  • Perform Solvency II calculations to provide inputs for risk models
  • Ensure quality assurance, analyze results, and interpret findings
  • Prepare documentation for handover and audit purposes, coordinating with auditors for alignment
  • Implement and test actuarial models and enhancements for Life and Health insurance
  • Contribute to the evolution of actuarial models for Life and Health entities

Ideal candidate profile

  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in German and English
  • Graduate degree in mathematics, economics, or a related quantitative field
  • Strong technical and analytical skills with a structured approach and high attention to detail
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and technical skills in VBA and Prophet
  • Proactive mindset with excellent organizational and communication abilities
  • High intercultural competency and willingness to travel internationally
  • Team player capable of working effectively in an international environment
  • Independent thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit and openness to innovative methodologies
  • Resilient and adaptable, with a desire to contribute personal insights
  • Ability to lead teams and projects effectively

Conditions

  • Hybrid work: Based in Gdańsk or Warsaw (4 days remote, 1 day in the office). However, for an exceptional candidate, full remote work may be considered
  • Salary: negotiable based on individual qualifications
  • Employment type: Full-time employment contract
