Job Title Software EngineerSummary:Join us as an experienced Software Engineer to drive the development of new technologies that will shape our customers’ travel experience. In this role, you will apply best practices in code quality and security, investigate complex software defects, conduct testing, improve software architecture, and drive process improvement initiatives.In this role you will:
- Apply best practices in code quality and security to ensure non-functional requirements mastery.
- Investigate, analyze, and provide recommendations on the root causes of complex software defects.
- Conduct unit, component, and product testing to maintain high-quality standards.
- Participate in validation phases and support validation teams.
- Identify improvements and ensure sustainable evolution of software architecture.
- Improve project delivery and provide recommendations for process improvement.
- Establish technical standards and drive engineering practices.
- Identify new solutions and opportunities in Outpayce’s service offerings.
- Drive engagement and operational excellence on cross-functional teams.
About the ideal candidate:
- Master’s degree in computer science or related field.
- Proficiency in Object-Oriented design and programming with Java.
- Knowledge of Cloud native technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Quarkus, OpenShift, Microservices, and Kafka.
- Experience with REST/JSON API Design and complete product development lifecycle.
- Ability to deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Proficiency in agile methodologies, with Scrum required and SAFe being a plus.
- Understanding payments and/or travel industry is advantageous.
