Job description
The Systems Engineer Empower role is essential for the Lab DevOps Team, bringing the technical knowledge and expertise required to deliver, enhance, and maintain the Empower and NuGenesis products. This role involves managing the product lifecycle from activation to business-as-usual support and ultimately to retirement. You will provide technical guidance and consultancy in system configuration and testing during product delivery, as well as support for service design, service transition, system administration and operations, and incident and problem management.Role responsibilities:
- Participate in meetings with business partners and stakeholders.
- Elicit and document business requirements.
- Support timely delivery of requirements throughout the refinement process.
- Create and support functional and non-functional specifications and documentation.
- Lead workstreams within the DevOps team.
- Consult and solve complex situations during the delivery process.
- Improve processes followed by the DevOps team.
- Ensure smooth response to incoming demands by prioritizing competing tasks.
- Coordinate and share experience with other team members and in cross-functional engagements.
Role requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience with the software development process lifecycle
- Direct experience with systems such as Empower, NuGenesis, and other chromatography systems such as Chromeleon, and Agilent OpenLab / Chemstation.
- Fluency with digital measurement tools (Adobe/Google Analytics).
- Experience in Agile Ways of Working.
- Excellent command of English.
- IT background necessary to quickly triage problems and propose solutions.
- Understanding of product-specific business processes to cooperate with business stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills to work in a complex global application environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Economy, Computer Science/Computer Systems, Business Analysis, or Social Science.
