respon­sibilities

  • With regards to operations, you will be responsible for preparing the administrative and technical aspects of all interventions and modification projects on our network and pressure-reducing stations. You will also be in charge of preparing major, non-recurring maintenance works.
  • During these interventions, you will mainly be tasked with ensuring the safety of the facilities beforehand and with re-establishing the gas supply once work is complete. To this end, you will devise diagrams and operating sequences for the facilities in question to aid our technicians in their work.
  • You will check the plans and technical documents produced by teams from a range of departments (e.g. Dispatching, Projects, Engineering).
  • You will coordinate the provision of the necessary resources (e.g. trucks, special equipment) and materials (e.g. spare parts and/or specific orders).
  • You will serve as the applicant when drawing up work and hot-work permits, define the safety measures to be taken during the work and devise safeguarding plans within the framework of the requested work permits.
  • You will check the safety instructions given on site and conduct risk assessments alongside the site coordinators.
  • You will actively help analyse and resolve technical problems that may arise during preparation and/or execution.
  • You will coordinate the pre-commissioning and commissioning phases to ensure the safe commissioning of the facilities.
  • You will work with Team Leaders to give station technicians technical training in new facilities/equipment.
  • You will ensure that once work is complete, plans are updated and the necessary reports are properly compiled and made available.
  • You will be supervised by the Area Manager.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Five to ten years’ professional experience in industrial maintenance, maintenance coordination or the securing of infrastructure.
  • A meticulous approach to your work and a determination to prioritise safety and quality.
  • A desire to learn, as well as a dynamic mindset and a sense of diplomacy.
  • Genuine team spirit, excellent communication skills, the ability to manage and motivate others and give constructive feedback.
  • A proactive attitude, and the ability to work independently and suggest ways to improve processes.
  • An excellent command of French, basic knowledge of Dutch and, ideally, knowledge of technical English.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and SAP.

Additionally, this role requires:

  • A willingness to be on call and on standby.
  • A residence within 30 minutes of our headquarters in Jumet (ideally in the Centre region).
  • A category B driving licence and your own vehicle.
