Overall responsibilities:
Promote Future 5G Advanced standard, build Future 5G standard and industry ecosystem to enlarge the space of optical network connectivity industry.
Responsibilities:
1.Participate ETSI ISG Future 5G standard meetings, prepare Future 5G update slides for the group’s review and approval;
2.Participate WBBA WG2 and promote Future 5G network success stories;
3.Engage other SDOs and industry organizations to promote Future 5G implementation and adoption;
4.Help to organize Future 5G titled outreach activities including workshops; seminars, webinars summits to promote implementation and adoption of Future 5G and Future 5G Advanced standard deliverables, and promote research activities for Future 6G technologies;
5.Interface with internal teams to align generation standard and industry goals with optical BU, and fulfill goals with support from KA;
Experience and Requirements:
1.15+ year experience in Optical communication/networking industry, intensive knowledge in optical communication technology, product engineering and operating (long-haul, metro, access and home networking etc.) and there evolution history/future trends;
2.10+ year experience in standard and industry engagement, including participating standard activities, industry promotion activities.
3.Good relationship with key standard players, good reputation in the standard activities and industrial events. Official position within Standard Organizations (e.g. ETSI, 3GPP, OneM2M, BBF, etc.) or industry organizations (e.g. MSA) will be a bonus.
4.Successful experience in creating new organization, or new WG under existing organization, or making standards/regulation/concept proposals to be adopted by standard, supported by the vendors or users
5.Good skills in writing/presenting/debating/negotiating for achieving standard and industry promotion objectives.
