Position: Teaching Assistant (Welsh-Speaking)
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
Start Date: ImmediateWe are seeking a dedicated and resilient Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant school in Caerphilly. This role involves providing 1:1 support to two pupils in Year 3 and Year 6 who present with challenging behaviour.Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer tailored support to help the children achieve their potential.
  • Implement strategies to manage challenging behaviour effectively.
  • Collaborate closely with the class teachers and SENCO to adapt and deliver learning plans.
  • Foster a positive, nurturing environment to support the pupils’ academic and emotional development.
  • Communicate confidently in Welsh, supporting the school’s bilingual ethos.

Requirements:

  • Fluent Welsh speaker (essential).
  • Experience working with children, particularly those with challenging behaviour or SEN.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Patience, resilience, and a passion for making a difference.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 3 TA qualification) are advantageous, but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
