Would you like to help lead one of Denmark’s largest humanitarian youth organizations? Now is your chance! We are looking for two talented, committed and enterprising board members for the national board.The seats are available until our national meeting on November 2, when the positions are up for election, but we would very much like to see you want to run again.We are an independent children’s rights organization that works through youth-driven projects to strengthen children’s rights and make Denmark more child-friendly. Our community consists of 1,300 volunteers, 5,000 members and a secretariat in both Aarhus and Copenhagen.Are you ready to take on responsibility and make a difference? Then apply now!Your tasks as a member of the National Board will be:

• Participation in national board meetings – here you will, among other things, help make decisions about finances, strategy, which projects we should prioritize, and other strategic decisions.
• Act as an ambassador for the organization in external forums – such as the People’s Meeting on Bornholm, DUF’s delegate meeting, Save the Children’s National Meeting, etc.
• Participation in selected working and project groups – such as planning the National Assembly and the People’s Assembly on Bornholm.
• Participation in internal events in the organization – including the National Meeting, local associations’ general meetings and events, management forum and our biannual volunteer days.

What qualities are we particularly looking for in applicants:

• Knowledge and experience with volunteer work – preferably with a political or humanitarian focus
• Knowledge and experience that can make us an even more capable board. We are particularly looking for competencies within strategic work, finance, event planning, sustainability, volunteering, advocacy and communication.

• You are ready to take on a committed and responsible approach to board work * You have the opportunity to dedicate approximately 10 hours per month to volunteer work on the national board – some months may be busier than others.
• You are under 30 years old and have preferably been a member of Save the Children Youth for at least one month. If you are not yet a member but were to be elected, you will need to register, and then be able to join the Board after 30 days.
