The Water Hygiene Engineer Role

A well-established water treatment specialist is seeking a water hygiene engineer to join its expanding team in the Milton Keynes area. This opportunity suits someone with existing industry or plumbing experience who is looking to further develop their technical skills within a supportive, compliance-focused environment.

The successful water hygiene engineer will work across a variety of commercial, healthcare, and public sector sites, helping to ensure water systems remain safe, compliant, and operating efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

As a water hygiene engineer, your responsibilities will include temperature monitoring, routine outlet flushing, water sampling, TMV servicing, cold water storage tank inspections, calorifier checks, and shower head disinfection. All work must be completed in line with ACoP L8, HSG274, HTM 04-01, and relevant industry guidance.

Requirements

To be considered for this water hygiene engineer role, you should have at least two years of relevant experience, recognised water hygiene training, and a full UK driving licence.
