Warehouse Operative – Basingstoke- Trane UK Ltd

We boldly go. We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative in our Basingstoke site.

Responsibilities: 

• To perform in daily tasks in the warehouse and yard including Goods In & Goods Out
• Exceptional attention to detail for EHS standards.
• Operating safely counterbalance forklifts with daily pre-checks & maintenance, moving/loading/unloading large heavy goods including large air conditioning units.
• Experienced at operating forklifts for heavy goods.
• Banks person for forklift trucks and heavy goods vehicles.
• Operating onsite lifting equipment including slings, straps, jacks, pallet trucks, skates in accordance with EHS.
• Checking and signing shipping documents for record keeping.
• Picking/packing and despatching rental jobs.
• Checking & returning off hired rental stock into bin/storage locations, checking for damages.
• Updating warehouse operating systems
• General housekeeping in the main warehouse and yard to include cleaning and maintenance of products and warehouse.
• To assist with transport bookings, traffic control for HGV’s entering/exiting site and loading areas.
• Stock taking, stock organisation, stock replenishment for products and parts (Air Conditioning Units, Steel Fittings, Large Industrial Electrical Cables, 5m-6m Flexible hoses, Pumps/Heat Exchangers, Flexible Ducting).
• Assisting technicians when required.
• To assist Parts Warehouse (picking/packing, dispatching parts orders, loading/unloading parcel & pallet deliveries, Goods In checking & receiving deliveries onto Oracle system, stock taking, housekeeping).
• Following H&S policies, practices, high level standards for Health & Safety with EHS training & talk box, GenSuite training, Manual Handling training, FLT training provided to work within a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

• Attention to detail.
• Health and Safety exposure and experience
• Passion and motivation are required for working in a fast-paced operation
• Able to prioritise work to meet deadlines.
• Experienced forklift driver with valid B1 licence 
• Valid B2 licence or proof of years’ experience operating FLT’s lifting 15,000kg would be advantageous.
