Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled VP of Engineering to lead our global engineering teams, overseeing the development and delivery of Faria’s key products. Reporting to the Chief Technology and Product Officer (CTPO), based in London, you will manage 6-7 engineering managers who lead teams totaling approximately 80 software and QA engineers. You will drive the engineering strategy, ensure high-quality product delivery, and align engineering initiatives with business objectives.Key Responsibilities

• To lead, mentor, and manage a distributed engineering organization, focusing on career development, performance, and collaboration across teams in multiple regions.
• Develop and implement engineering strategies that support the company’s product roadmap, ensuring alignment with the overall business goals.
• Drive engineering excellence by promoting best practices in software development, continuous integration, testing, and deployment.
• Inspire continuous improvement in engineering practices, tools, and processes across geographically distributed teams.
• Collaborate closely with the leaders of Product Management to ensure the timely delivery of products that meet customer needs.
• Partner with regional Sales VPs and global leaders in Customer Experience and Customer Support to understand market demands and improve product quality and customer satisfaction.
• Oversee resource planning, budgeting, and prioritization of engineering efforts to meet company goals.
• Maintain a culture of innovation, accountability, and high performance within the engineering teams.
• Ensure the scalability and reliability of our platform as the company continues to grow globally.

RequirementsQualifications & Experience

• Proven experience as a VP of Engineering or in a senior engineering leadership role in a SaaS or technology-driven company.
• Strong track record of managing and scaling culturally diverse, geographically distributed teams of 80+ engineers, including software and QA professionals.
• Deep expertise in software engineering, architecture, and best practices for building scalable and reliable products.
• Experience working closely with product management, sales, and customer-facing teams to align engineering efforts with business objectives.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor and inspire engineering managers and their teams.
• Excellent communication skills with English fluency, and ability to collaborate with stakeholders and colleagues across different regions and functions.
• Hands-on technical background with a deep understanding of modern software development practices, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps methodologies.
• Familiarity with Agile or similar methodologies for product development.
• Ability to travel occasionally to meet with distributed teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• Experience in EdTech or related industries.
• Understanding of data analytics and dashboard-driven products.
