War Child is looking for:

A Visual Content Producer to manage the production of agreed corporate videos and photography content, from pre-production, to production and post-production, as well effective storage and database management and ensuring all images align with brand and child safeguarding standards.

As a visual Content Producer, you will focus on building the capacity and providing advice and support to the War Child network to produce and access high-quality, professional, on brand, child safe, coherent and impactful videos and photos and you will be part of the global Communications team in the War Child Alliance, responsible for the brand, the reputation and corporate communication in addition to working closely with the Designer and reports to the Head of Communications.

Your Mission:

  • Content Needs Identification: Identifying content needs across the War Child Alliance network, and working with our different departments and fundraising members to support the delivery of content requests for external communications purposes.
  • Creative Material Development:Supports or advises in the creation and refinement of creative concepts, scripts, narratives, briefings and other materials.
  • Content Management: Manages the shared content bank, and ensures that this is maintained with quality content and stories that can be used by the War Child Alliance network.
  • Video and Photography Capacity Building:Video and photography advice and capacity building. Builds the capacity and provides advice and support to the War Child Alliance network to produce and have access to effective corporate videos and photography.
  • Brand Guidelines Development: Develops and updates brand and other guidelines, templates, systems and assets relating to video and photography to support the effective production of videos and photography across the War Child network
  • Asset Utilization:Advises and supports the War Child network to: (a) make effective use of videos and images and (b) have effective access to video and photography assets
  • Workshops and Trainings:Provides video and photography workshops and ad hoc support/trainings as required across the War Child network to ensure effective and well-branded videos and photographs.
  • Process Improvement: Develops and continually updates and improves video and photography processes to ensure effective workflows.

Corporate Video and Photography management and production

Pre-production:

  • Plans, schedules and coordinates all pre-defined video and photography projects
  • Recruits and manages freelance videographers and photographers
  • Creates video and photography concepts, scripts, narratives, briefings and other materials
  • Arranges logistics for content collection
  • Oversees and manages production budgets, costs and expenses

Production:

  • Briefs external production agencies and freelancers on content collection assignments
  • Directing videographers, photographers and support local staff in facilitation

Post-production:

  • Prepares packages of b-roll, a-roll, backgrounder, interviewee profiles and transcripts.
  • Edits raw video and photo material into publishable productions for agreed set of corporate projects. Oversees the projects’ finalisation
  • Ensures quality, on brand, coherent and impactful corporate videos and photographs

Brand design and corporate asset production

  • Plans, schedules and coordinates all brand and corporate design requests
  • Responsible for design outputs in line with Scopes of work (SOP’s) and Service Level Agreements (SLA’s)
  • Manages third party design agency to manage their (pro bono) support for brand design outputs
  • Production of digital assets for use across social media channels

Management of corporate image library

  • Responsible for day-to-day management of the corporate image library including archiving, tagging and adding metadata
  • Ensures all library content meets branding and child safeguarding processes and standards
  • Updates organisation units on newly produced and available library content
  • Ensures the content library system is up to date in cooperation with ICT and War Child UK
  • Responsible / Contribute to / for creating a culture committed to the safeguarding of children, and adults and compliant to WCA Child Safeguarding policies.

What You Will Bring:

  • A bachelor’s degree in film, photography, media, management, production, or a related field
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in quick-turnaround video and photography production processes and activities
  • Skills in operating video production equipment
  • Skills in operating various complex post-production applications (Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Illustrator)
  • Knowledge of effective project management methods and techniques.
  • Skills in independent problem-solving, project budgeting and project management.
  • Experienced in team coordination.
  • Experienced in capacity building and training
  • Effectively communicate visually and in oral and written form in English.

Preference is given to applicants who reside and have valid working permits. War Child does not offer relocation.
