- Job Summary
The Vice President of Product Marketing will build the strategic foundation for the next stage of our go-to-market growth. Reporting to the CMO, in this role you will provide vision, team leadership and strategic direction for Poppulo’s product marketing to support the growth of our business. Success in this role requires seeing the big picture, digging deep into insights, defining and executing effective go-to-market initiatives, and building programs and teams to scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and executing on a global marketing strategy that drives the company’s brand and category leadership by leveraging branding, product marketing, AR and PR.
- Delivering positioning and messaging, competitive/market intelligence, product launches, partner marketing, analyst relations and public relations.
- Defining and owning our positioning, messaging and thought leadership strategy to evangelize our point of view across customer segments, verticals and personas.
- Managing high-visibility product launches to drive awareness, demand and revenue for a continuous stream of new products, features and services.
- Partnering with Demand Generation to deliver a compelling narrative that builds demand and drives revenue.
- Partnering with CS, Sales, Product, etc. to understand their priorities and turn that into deliverables that achieve the desired business outcomes
- Ensuring external industry analysts and influencers view Poppulo as a leader across the employee communications, digital signage and workspace management categories.
- Identify areas that need improvement and implement new processes
- Partner marketing to drive revenue through our channel partner network.

Education & Experience
- An experienced marketing leader with 10+ years of proven success leading product marketing in a multi-solution environment, preferably in mid-market to enterprise software or SaaS.
- A leader capable of managing a broad range of strategic marketing activities including product marketing, competitive and market intelligence, analyst relations, public relations and partner marketing.
- A player/coach who leads by example, is ready to dive into the weeds on execution, and is able to zoom out and navigate high-level strategy – you’ve developed brand messages, pitches and collateral, built competitive battle cards, served as a product evangelist, etc.
- An exceptional communicator gifted in the ability to use the spoken and written word to communicate effectively with all stakeholders and be an evangelist for the product.
- A marketer experienced with leading public relations and driving press and analyst coverage that that positively influences buyers.
Leadership Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate work activities, connecting the work of the team with the vision, goals and success of the organization
- Nurture a culture of continuous improvement, agility, and resilience
- Establish key objectives/metrics to measure performance and ensure reports have the information, tools, and resources necessary to meet their goals. Identify and clear blockers, communicating changes in priority or focus in a timely manner
- Provide regular and continuous feedback concerning performance and apply appropriate performance interventions when needed
- Play a key role in the engagement and retention of direct reports, ensuring they feel supported, heard, and are given the appropriate level of autonomy
- A collaborative leader with proven ability partnering across Product, Sales, Customer Success and the broader Marketing Team, and with all levels of management as a tactical and strategic partner, coach, and advisor.
- An agile leader with the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced, changing environment and anticipate future needs while living the Poppulo values.
- A people-focused leader with proven ability to recruit and build high-performing teams, develop people, and link performance to overall business objectives.
