Responsibilities

The position of Vice President, Marketing is to manage the growth and geographic expansion of Europe. The position reports to the Mars Science and Diagnostics Regional President, Europe. The scope of tasks may include, but is not limited to the following activities:

MARKETING

· Strategic Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive marketing and product strategies aligned with overall business objectives. Conduct market research and analysis to identify market trends, opportunities, and competitive landscapes.

· Brand Management: Oversee brand positioning and messaging to ensure consistency and resonance in the European market. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement branding campaigns.

· Marketing Excellence: Bring modern concepts into the marketing environment, identify current trends and convert them into a data-driven strategy designed for sales support.

PRODUCT MANAGEMENT

· Product Management: Lead the commercial product management function and manage the product lifecycle to ensure a successful implementation of product strategies. Collaborate with R&D teams to ensure the development of innovative and competitive products. Ensure an active management of the existing product portfolio and develop a cross-functional coordination and implementation of concepts in collaboration with marketing and sales.

· Product Marketing: Drive product launches and promotions to maximize market penetration and revenue. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of customer needs, ensuring products meet or exceed market expectations.

EDUCATION

· Education Leadership: Develop and implement internal training programs to ensure Sales, KAM & PM teams are well-versed in product knowledge and market trends.

· External education: Lead efforts to educate customers through workshops, webinars, and other channels to enhance their understanding of our products and their benefits.

· Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing marketing, product management, and education team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Provide guidance and support to regional marketing managers, product managers, and education specialists to achieve their targets.

· Market Expansion: Identify and pursue new market opportunities within Europe, evaluating potential for growth and expansion. Collaborate with sales teams to align marketing, product, and education strategies with sales goals.

· Budget Management: Develop and manage the marketing, product management, and education budgets, ensuring optimal allocation of resources for maximum impact. Monitor and analyze marketing, product management, and education ROI, adjusting strategies as needed. Establish KPIs for deep dives into group performance.

· Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with key internal stakeholders, including sales, R&D, and regulatory teams, to ensure alignment of marketing, product, and education strategies with overall business objectives. Cultivate and maintain relationships with external partners and industry influencers.

Work Experience

Qualifications:

  • Desirable work experience in Veterinary Diagnostics businesses, Laboratory businesses, Medtech.

  • Desirable work experience in matrix organizational structures, International experience / working in a global structure .

  • Education degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. MBA is a plus.

  • A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine or another relevant area preferred.

  • Proven track record of success in senior marketing and product management roles within the animal health or related industries.

  • Extensive experience in strategic planning, brand management, product management, product marketing, and education.
